PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply adjust a position of an automatic paper feed device when skew occurs in a reading original document fed by the automatic paper feed device. SOLUTION: The automatic paper feed device has an image reading device 10 with a reading unit 34 for the reading original document, an automatic paper feed unit 20 which feeds the reading original document to the reading unit 34, and hinge units 2, 3 which connects the image reading device and the automatic paper feed unit. Moreover, the hinge unit 2 has an action unit 61 for adjusting a gradient of an original document feeding direction of the automatic paper feed unit 20 in a perpendicular direction of a main scanning direction of the reading unit 34, and a moving adjustment unit which changes the gradient of the automatic paper feed unit 20 by moving the action unit 61 to a predetermined direction.
