<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To paste an address label within a label pasting range regardless of the thickness. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An address label pasting position is set on the way of a conveying path, and an envelope is delivered to the pasting position. Address label feeding means is arranged on the lower side of the pasting position. A mount is wound on a releasing roller provided on the feeding means to release the address label from the mount, and the end part of the address label released is brought into contact with the label pasting face (front face) of the envelope. Thereby, the address label is stuck on the label pasting face with a pressure-sensitive adhesive applied on the address label. Under the condition that the address label is stuck, the envelope is delivered to a discharging tray side while the envelope is furthermore pinched by a pair of rollers constituting discharging means. There exist a pair of sensors on the conveying path, to detect the speed of the envelope in the conveying path thereby, and driving timing of a stepping motor for delivering the mount is adjusted from the detected speed.
