Using a special surfactant-free vaporizer solution containing 50 to 98 percent by weight of water and/or ethanol and/or isopropanol, 0.1 to 10 percent by weight of hydrogen peroxide (calculated as 100 percent H2O2), and 0.01 to 5 percent by weight of at least one fragrance, the percentages being in relation to the weight of the vaporizer solution, creates extremely bright, intense color shades having very good fastness properties. The reaction times can be significantly reduced compared with conventional dyes without affecting the dyeing result.
