<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which an image with good rub resistance can be formed by using an ink composition excellent in dispersion stability. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming method includes: an ink applying step of applying, onto a recording medium, an ink composition containing (a) a water-soluble solvent containing a volatile water-soluble solvent having an SP value of 27.5 or more at an amount of 30 mass% or more, (b) a pigment, (c) polymer particles and (d) water; and a volatile solvent removing step of removing at least a part of the volatile water-soluble solvent from the ink composition on the recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
