PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical range finder capable of heightening measuring accuracy by suppressing an influence of dispersion of measured values. SOLUTION: An obstacle sensor 31 is equipped with an output control part 41 for controlling a light projection element 36 so that each modulated light having each of two different frequencies is emitted alternately, a distance operation part 42 for operating a measured distance to a body T to which light is projected based on the modulated light received by a light receiving element 37, the first determination part 43 for determining whether a difference between each measured distance operated twice by the modulated light having the first frequency is within the first prescribed range or not, the second determination part 44 for determining whether a difference between each measured distance operated twice by the modulated light having the second frequency is within the second prescribed range or not, and an overall determination part 46 for determining correctness/wrongness of the measured distance operated by the distance operation part 42 based on each determination result by the first determination part 43 and the second determination part 44.
