<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal drain separator and a cooling-dehumidification unit capable of effectively a cooling-dehumidification while minimizing its installation height and installation space. <P>SOLUTION: The drain separator 1 is a roughly horizontal cylinder having a casing 3 with the inside serving as a cooling chamber 2; an air suction duct 4 opened to a lower part of one side part 3a of the casing 3 and supplying gas G into the cooling chamber 2; an exhaust duct 5 opened to an upper part of the other side part 3b of the casing 3 and discharging the gas G in the cooling chamber 2; a horizontal gas cooler 6 provided in a flow path S extended from the air suction duct 4 in the cooling chamber 2 to the exhaust duct 5 and cooling the gas G flowing from the air suction duct 4; and a mist separator 7 provided between the gas cooler 6 and exhaust duct 5 in the flow path S in the cooling chamber 2, and dehumidifying the gas G.
