<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for the disposal of documents, enabling paper to be recycled as good-quality raw material for pulp without leaking confidential information written on documents as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The device 1 for the disposal of documents is constituted as follows. A driven roller part 21 of the device 1 includes a driven roller 23, and a plurality of follower rollers 26 rotated so as to follow the rotation of the driven roller 23 while nipping a sheet P on which information is written between the driven roller 23 and the follower rollers 26. The most downstream follower roller 26 in the conveying direction of the sheet P of the plurality of the follower rollers 26 is a paste-coating roller 26A. The paste-coating roller 26A is arranged at a position separated from the driven roller 23 in the crossing direction of the conveying direction of the sheet P. According to such construction, the driven roller 23 is not stained with a paste 31 because the paste-coating roller 26A to which the paste 31 is attached is not made contact with the driven roller 23.
