<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily read image data users want from a recording medium. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A feature extraction processing section 25 extracts a visual feature from image data generated by an imaging section 22. A visual feature uses a face detection result obtained through face detection of person, a result that is obtained through at least either of face attribute detection, person specification and human body detection, a detection result of not only person but object, and so on. A recording medium 31 correlates image data with visual features extracted from the image data, and records them. A feature comparison processing section 26 compares the visual features extracted in the feature extraction processing section 25 with the visual features recorded in the recording medium 31.
