<p>Valve for corrosive liquids has a rotatable stop member in a cylindrical chamber, in which is a long cylindrical pref. Teflon (RTM) insert with an axial bore, seated in the stop member and with through openings in its walls, corresponding to the valve body inlet and outlet, which can be joined by a passage-through the top member. The insert is prevented from longitudinal displacement or rotation in the chamber. A sealant liquid, pref. a fat or a silicone mass of high viscosity, presses out between the chamber wall and the insert when this fits tighter to the body owing to a fall in temp., and is continuously pushed into the body insert interspace to press the insert against the stop member.</p> |
