PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce color slurring caused by the influence of load fluctuation of an intermediate transfer body and to enable high-speed printing. SOLUTION: As to a controller 15 controlling an image forming process based on the size of a recording medium; a first mode consecutively performing a developing process forming a latent image and a toner image, and a second mode taking a stopping process stopping the developing process in the middle of the developing process are set when the recording medium 11 having a size equal to or less than half length of a maximum image and capable of forming a color image is consecutively image-formed. Thus, the color slurring of the image caused by the influence of the load fluctuation of the intermediate transfer body 6 can be reduced and the high speed printing can be performed. |
