In the examples using (a) a polyacrylonitrile coated polyethylene core: glucose is prepared from starch using amyloglucosidase and saccharifying amylase (15), (22); lactic acid is prepared by passing phosphoenol through a first disc on which is adsorbed pyruvate kinase producing pyruvate which then reacts with the lactase dehydrogenase immobilized on a second disc to form the lactic acid (17); benzoyl tyrosine is prepared from the reaction of benzoyl tyrosine p-nitroanilide with immobilized chymotrypsin (19); gluconic acid is prepared from the reaction of glucose with immobilized glucose oxidase (21); and a mixture of fructose and glucose is prepared from the reaction of glucose with immobilized glucose isomerase (24); and (b) a polycaprolactam core: tosyl arginine is prepared from the reaction of tosyl arginine methyl ester and trypsin (29). |
