METHOD FOR PROTECTION AND RENOVATION OF COAST SANDY FOREDUNES

The invention is applicable in the field of nature protection. It is specifically related to renewal of water bodies sandy foredunes after storm devastations by providing a solution for dune fortification with environmentally friendly materials and without using any of hard-technology solutions. However, the invention may be applicable also for other types of grounds and in combination with hard technologies. The proposed solution is characterized by following sequential operations: flexible foundations of gabions (2) are made, with the foundations being much wider than the width of the protection wall for the edge (2-1) of the gabion to bend undisturbedly to the furrow (V) side what storms would erode at the grounds, thus the ground beneath the protection wall would be defended against erosion; on the nearest part of the foundations at the dune from small interconnected (hooked-up) blocks (1) gradually layer by layer (J) is build and monolithized sloping vaulted dune protection wall with a geotextile filter (3) on the dune side; every following higher protection wall layer is built after the wind has drifted sand (S) beneath the highest of the existing layers.
