<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide resin particles excellent in thermal characteristics, heat resistant storage stability and transparency and having a uniform particle diameter, even when a plant-derived resin, including polylactic acid, is used. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The toner comprises resin particles (C), having a structure of a resin particle (A) containing a first resin (a) or a coating film (P) containing the resin (a) deposited on the surface of a resin particle (B) containing a second resin (b), wherein the resin (b) contains a straight-chain polyester resin (b1), obtained by making a polyester diol (b11) having a polyhydroxycarboxylic acid skeleton react with a polyester diol (b12) other than (b11), together with a chain extending agent.
