PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insecticidal filament having an insecticidal active compound solid at normal temperature (20°C) kneaded therein and a high insecticidal effect. SOLUTION: The insecticidal filament is obtained by kneading a filament-forming thermoplastic resin with an insecticidal active compound solid at 20°C and an organic solvent having a boiling point of≥70°C. The insecticidal filament having a core-sheath structure is obtained by kneading a thermoplastic resin forming a core of filament with an organic solvent having a boiling point of≥70°C and kneading a thermoplastic resin forming a sheath of filament with an insecticidal active compound solid at 25°C.
