The free-standing wall section 1, for forming a free-standing wall, comprises a tapered base portion 2 and a wall portion 4 that are integrally formed with one another and holes 42 for receiving post-tensioning elements. The section may be made from a cementitious material and include pins on top of the wall portion for locating a structural member at the top of the section and features for aligning opposing end faces 32,34 of two sections with one another. A wall and a building comprising a plurality of the sections are also claimed. A method of constructing a free-standing wall is also claimed. |
