<p>Core and outer ring are connected together by radial webs, and have mandrel and nozzle ring downstream. Between the latter two the annular gap is widened (on the upstream side) to a pressure chamber. In the chamber downstream of each web, a duct leads into the annular gap, which is followed by the outlet annular slot. Effect of ducts is to smooth separate flows into a uniform annular stream, producing a highly uniform tube.</p> |
