<p>[Object] To prevent damage to a cable to the extent possible, and to prevent an increase in outside diameters of components, which are built in a motor, resulting from wiring of a motor cable. [Solving Means] An angular indexing apparatus for a machine tool includes a rotating shaft 40, to which a member that is rotationally driven 11 is secured; a housing 30, which surrounds the outer periphery of the rotating shaft 40 and which is mounted to and removed from the body of the machine tool; bearings B1, B2, disposed between the housing 30 and the rotating shaft 40; and driving means, disposed between the housing 30 and the rotating shaft 40, and rotating the rotating shaft 40 to index an angular position. As the driving means, drive motors M1, M2, M3, each including a motor rotor and a motor stator, are used, the motor rotor and the motor stator being concentrically disposed around the rotating shaft 40 in the housing 30. The housing 30 has wiring holes H1, H2, H3 in a thick-walled internal portion of an outer cylinder surrounding the outer periphery of the rotating shaft 40, the wiring holes H1, H2, H3 being provided along an axial direction of the rotating shaft 40, the wiring holes H1, H2, H3 receiving at least upstream portions in entire lengths in a drawing-out direction of cables c11, c21, c31 connected to the driving motors M1, M2, M3.</p> |
