FIELD: physics; computer engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a display device with a scanning function. The device comprises a display which does not only display visual information, but can identify proximity of one or more objects presented for this purpose. Such proximity is not limited to actual touching and/or pressing on the display as in traditional touch screens (touch-sensitive).
