<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive lens driving device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lens driving device (10) includes: a lens holder (14) including a tubular portion (140) for holding a lens assembly; a driving coil (16) fixed to the lens holder so as to position around the tubular portion; a yoke (20) including a permanent magnet (18) opposite to the driving coil; and a front spring (22) and a rear spring (24) provided on both sides of the cylindrical portion of the lens holder in the direction of an optical axis (O) and supporting the lens holder so that the lens holder is displaced in the direction of the optical axis (O) while radially positioned. The yoke (20) includes an outer cylindrical portion (202) having a rectangular cylindrical shape, the permanent magnet (18) includes at least four permanent magnet pieces (182, 184) each having a rectangular cross section. Four magnetic circuit auxiliary members (36) are disposed between the four permanent magnet pieces (182) at the four corners of the outer cylindrical portion (202) of the yoke and the four corners of the outer cylindrical portion (202).
