PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner which satisfies high image quality and high productivity, and to provide a method of manufacturing the electrophotographic toner. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner is manufactured by: turning a toner composition containing liquid prepared by dissolving or dispersing at least binder resin, a colorant dispersing resin used for dispersing the colorant and a colorant into an organic solvent, into droplets in a gas phase; and subsequently solidifying the droplets, wherein the colorant dispersing resin is different from the binder resin, is compatible with the binder resin in the organic solvent and, however, is separated from the binder resin in the electrophotographic toner after drying.
