PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately analyze tissue characterization without being influenced by speckle noise. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic image processing apparatus includes: an ultrasonic transmitting/receiving section for transmitting ultrasonic waves toward a subject and receiving the ultrasonic waves reflected from the subject; a speckle component extracting section for extracting speckle components from phase components of ultrasonic signals received by the ultrasonic transmitting/receiving section; and an analyzing section for analyzing the tissue characterization included in an ultrasonic image through the use of information of the phase components after removing the extracted speckle components.
