A prosthesis comprising a plurality of stent segments (32), the stent segments having no interconnections or separable or frangible couplings therebetween, but having concave abutments configured to receive and engage curved outer ends in adjacent stent segments, such that, when positioned in an unexpanded form within the sheath (25) of a stent delivery catheter (20) or on an expandable member (24) of a stent delivery catheter, stent segments may be moved apart in an axial direction, prior to expansion, to create a space between stent segments to be deployed and stent segments to remain undeployed. |
