<p>Method and appts. for recovery of gas from a coke oven in which (a) during normal operation of the oven, a condensate of the gas generated in the oven is ejected at low pressure through a nozzle into a conduit between the oven and a gas collection main; (b) during charging of the oven with coal, etc. the condensate is ejected at a higher pressure (pref. above 6 kg/cm2 esp. 10 - 25 kg/cm2) to draw the gas generated in the oven into the collection main.</p> |
