<p>Regenerating wool that has been damaged in a finishing process, such as an anti-shrink treatment, or articles of wool, is effected by contacting, partic. after a dyeing or dressing process, with an aqs. soln of a pref. pH 6.5-7 contg an enzyme or enzyme product that decompose albumen or albuminous substances, in an amt up to 100 g/l, and opt. softeners and antistatica, at 10-80 degrees C, leaving in the soln for up to 24 hrs, opt. removing an excess of soln. rinsing, pref. at elevated temp. in acid or neutral rinse, and after-treating with solns contg a softener or surfactant.</p> |
