A computer system has a display screen that is configured to display Images 2 on a computer screen such that the images are sequentially positioned along a path 1 and the images move in sequence along the path in response to an input command to the system (e.g. movement of a scrollbar 3). Typically, at least a portion of the path is a curve. The images may be positioned at regular intervals along the path where each image lies in respective image planes. The path may be spiral, double spiral, film strip or conical helix. The images may overlap. The size of an image may vary with the location of that image along the path, e.g. the image at the end of the spiral may appear to be larger than the other images. Typically, the display renders the path and images as objects in 3D space.
