LOCK WINDOWS FOR REDUCING CONTENTION

PURPOSE: A window lock for reducing contention is provided to prevent obtainment of a thread during a time window when the thread is in the time window and does not have lock. CONSTITUTION: A time window determiner(220) sets a time window in the end of a time slide of a thread. When the thread is in the time window and does not obtain any lock, a lock monitoring device(235) prohibits lock obtainment of the thread during the time window. A memory area for storing the beginning of the time window is registered. The beginning of the time window is saved in the memory area based on scheduling of the thread.
