PURPOSE: An active headrest is provided to prevent the neck damage of a passenger due to shock by supporting a head of a passenger with a support plate in a collision of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An active headrest is composed of a main bracket(10), a rear link board(20), a front link board(30), a support plate(50), and an operation spring(60). The main bracket is installed onto a seat back. The rear link board is connected to the main bracket with a hinge pin(41). The front link board is connected to the rear link board with a hinge pin(42). The support plate is connected to the front link board with a hinge pin(43). The operation spring pushes the rear link board toward the direction spread from the main bracket. |
