PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for compensating tilt of recording medium are provided to remove the detected tilt error from a holographic storage apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An image detection part(310) gets data image playing from a recording medium. The image detection part measures the light quantity of the image. A tilt control part(320) detects the pulse tilt of the recording medium based on the quantity of light measured at in the image detection part. The tilt control part controls the tilt compensation. A tilt compensation part(330) recompenses the pulse tilt of the recording medium according to the tilt control part.
