SECONDARY BATTERY WITHOUT INDEPENDENT SEPERATOR

PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to function as an inherent role of a separator by applying a polymer solution on a cathode or anode, to ensure excellent power characteristic, and to improve the safety of electrode. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery does not include an independent separator. The separator of the secondary battery is applied on a cathode or anode. The separator is coated with a polymer solution in which a polymer is heat-melted or dissolved in a proper organic solvent. The separator is applied using an inkjet spray method. A method for manufacturing a secondary battery comprises the steps of: heat-melting a polymer or dissolving in a solvent to prepare a polymer solution; and applying the polymer solution to a cathode and anode using an inkjet spray method to form a separator coated on the electrode.
