PURPOSE: An air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to cool and heat the rear seats of a vehicle by blowing a sufficient volume of cold air and hot air to the rear seats in the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner for a vehicle comprises a blower, an evaporator(3), a heater(5), a discharging vent(9) for a rear seat, and a blower(20) for a rear seat. The blower draws in internal and external air and blows the air to an inner path(12) of a case(10) for an air conditioner. The evaporator cools the air flowing along the inner path. The heater heats up the air flowing along the inner path. The discharging vent for a rear seat supplies the cold air and the hot air passed through the evaporator or the heater to the rear seats. The blower for the rear seat increases the wind pressure of air blown to the rear seats through the discharging vent for the rear seat.
