PURPOSE: A method for editing an image using a touch interface of a mobile terminal and an apparatus thereof are provided to input a boundary line of an object area, determine an object area and correct the determined object area using finger touch. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen unit(110) detects a boundary line inputted to an image through a touch interface to display. A controller(100) classifies the image into a non-determination area, an object area and a background area along with the boundary line. The controller determines the non-determination area as the object or background areas through color comparison with a neighboring block of the non-determination area to determine a final object area.
