PURPOSE: A driving apparatus for a liquid crystal display device and method for driving the same are provided to improve display quality of image by minimizing a motion blur and flicker. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal panel(2) includes a plurality of pixel regions. A data driver(4) drives a plurality of data lines. The gate driver(6) drives a plurality of gate lines. A frame rate converter(10) converts an input data of one frame into different subs data at odd number and an even frame. A timing controller(8) supplies sub data of even and odd frame which is inputted alternately to the data driver.
