PURPOSE: A seed and plant of red pepper named with SBR28-1220 is provided to ensure high fruit productivity and TMV-L3 resistance. CONSTITUTION: A pepper is obtained from sweet system SBR28-1220(ATCC deposit number PTA-9369). Cell culture comprises embryo, division, flowerpot, leaves, flowers, seed or stem. The red paper is obtained by hybridizing the plant. A method for producing seeds of the plant of red pepper comprises: a step of hybridizing the pepper plant; a step of forming the seed of the plant; a step of hybridizing the plant with second red pepper plant; and a step of growing the red pepper to obtain additional SBR28-1220.
