PURPOSE: A discharge electrode is provided to maintain excellent discharge characteristic for a long time by suppressing the attachment of a foreign material to the device. CONSTITUTION: A discharge electrode comprises a gas part(110) and a tip-end part(120). The gas part is formed with a conductor. A gas flow path(111) is formed inside the gas part. The gas is applied to a gas flow path. The gas includes air, nitrogen gas, and an inert gas. A gas unit is formed with a tube having a certain length. The gas is flowed through the tube. At least one end of the tube is formed with a acuminate material of cone shape. The end of the tube excluding an acuminate material is cylinder. The end of the tube is formed with a plurality of small materials corresponding to the conductor.
