Window frame has inside its wooden parts, especially its side parts, elements reinforcing wood across its grain, located transversely to the main plane of the window frame, the reinforcing elements being treaded fasteners, preferably screws (4) threaded on their whole length. The reinforcing elements are located mainly at the hinges (5) in the central zone of the side parts of the frame and close to its corners.
