AN ALCOHOL EXTRACT OF CORDYCEPS BASSIANA FOR TREATING AND PREVENTING ATOPY DERMATITIS

PURPOSE: A Cordyceps bassiana extract having effect of treating and preventing skin inflammation including pruritus and atopic dermatitis is provided to reduce thickness of epidermal layer and reduce IgE concentration in serum. CONSTITUTION: A Cordyceps bassiana extract for preventing and treating pruritus and atopic dermatitis is an alcohol extract isolated using ethanol, propanol, or butanol. The Cordyceps bassiana alcohol extract is a butanol fraction isolated by extracting the ethanol extract with water:hexane mixture solvent and adding mixture solvent of water:butanol. A composition for preventing and treating pruritus and atopic dermatitis contains the Cordyceps bassiana alcohol extract. The composition is skin external composition. The daily dose of the composition is 0.001μg~10mg/kg.
