Solid particle dispersion, in an organic medium, comprises at least one acrylic polymer comprising a skeleton insoluble in the medium and a part soluble in the medium constituted of side chain connected covalently to the skeleton, where the polymer is obtained by radical polymerization of mixture of monomers comprising: a substituted ethylene monomer (I) and/or its salts, acrylic monomers comprising (meth)acrylate compound (II), (meth)acrylamide compound (III) and monomer with ethylenic unsaturation; and at least one carbon macromonomer comprising a terminal group. Solid particle dispersion, in an organic medium, of solid particles constituted of at least one acrylic polymer comprising a skeleton insoluble in the medium and a part soluble in the medium constituted of side chain connected covalently to the skeleton, where the polymer is obtained by radical polymerization of mixture of monomers comprising: a substituted ethylene monomer of formula (H 2C=C(R 1)-(Z) x-(R 2) m-(-CH 2-CH 2-O) n-R 3) (I) (10-99 wt.%) and/or its salts, acrylic monomers (1-90 wt.%) comprising (meth)acrylate compound (II) of formula (CH 2=CH-COOR1a) (IIa) or (CH 2=C(CH 3)-COOR1a) (IIb), (meth)acrylamide compound (III) of formula (CH 2=CH-COR2aR3a) (IIIa) or (CH 2=C(CH 3)-CONR2aR3a) (IIIb), monomer with ethylenic unsaturation comprising at least one carboxylic, phosphoric or sulfonic acid function, or their anhydrides and salts; and at least one carbon macromonomer (1-18 wt.%) comprising a terminal group able to react during polymerization for forming side chain, where the macromonomer has a molecular weight of >= 200. R 1H or CH 3; Z : divalent group comprising -COO-, -CONH-, -CONCH 3-, -OCO-, -O-, -SO 2-, -CO-O-CO or -CO-CH 2-CO; R 2optionally saturated and optionally aromatic cyclic 1-30C divalent carbon radical comprising 1-18 heteroatoms of O, N, S, F, Si or P; R 3H or optionally saturated and optionally aromatic cyclic 1-30C carbon radical comprising 1-20 heteroatoms of O, N, S, F, Si or P; m, x : 0 or 1; n : 3-300; R1a : 1-22C alkyl or 3-22C cyclic alkyl both comprising heteroatoms of O, N or S in its chain and optionally comprising -OH, halo or -NR11R22; R11, R22 : H or 1-4C alkyl; and R2a, R3a : H or 1-22C alkyl optionally comprising -OH, halo or -NR11R22. An independent claim is included for a cosmetic composition comprising the dispersion in a medium.
