PURPOSE: A side lighting type backlighting unit is provided to reduce the material cost by removing prism sheet by two sheets of light diffusing sheet of the functional both-sided pattern. CONSTITUTION: In the lower surface of optical sheets(130-1,130-2), a prism pattern is formed line sources(140-1,140-2) and the horizontal direction discontinuously. In the upper surface of the optical sheet, the prism pattern is consecutively formed at the line source and the perpendicular direction. A light guide plate receives the light from the line source of the side. The light guide plate irradiates the light in the vertical direction. The light guide plate has the light concentration function. The optical sheet has the diffusion function in the upper side of the light guide plate Therefore, the optical property and surface property are secured by the removal of the prism sheet. |
