The method involves receiving images from a moving object (3) e.g. luggage, using a camera (2). The images are assembled to form a three-dimensional representation of line segments by image processing. The line segments are assigned to the object, when a spatial distance of two adjacent line segments falls below a predetermined threshold value. The line segments are assigned to another object, when the spatial distance of two adjacent line segments does not fall below the predetermined threshold value. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for implementing a method for recognizing an image of a moved object in a conveyor system (2) a computer program product having instructions for executing a method for recognizing an image of a moved object in a conveyor system. |
