PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for tracking a signal source are provided to track a direction of a signal source by estimating an incident angle and repeating the beam formation pattern correction according to the estimated incident angle. CONSTITUTION: Antenna elements(10,20,30) receive a signal from a signal source tracking a direction. Receivers(11,21,31) converts and filters the signal received through the antenna element to a required frequency band and performs the power conversion for processing a signal and the analog to digital conversion process. An interference signal determining unit(40) determines the interference signal using the amplitude and the phase of the received signal. A beam former(50) forms the beams to first and second directions by giving first and second weights to the received signal. An incident angle estimator(60) estimates the incident angle of the received angle using a mono pulse ratio of the signal with the first weight and the signal with the second weight.
