PURPOSE: A drum washing machine and a control method thereof are provided to measure the exact height of laundry by locating a height detecting sensor on the top of a drum. CONSTITUTION: A drum washing machine(1) comprises a drum(8), a height detecting sensor(20), and a control part. The drum is rotated for washing the laundry. The height detecting sensor arranged inside of the drum senses the height of the laundry. The control part controls rotating of the drum so that the height detecting sensor is located on the top of the drum. |
