摘要 PURPOSE: A map configuring device of a mobile robot and a method thereof are provided to improve the accuracy of the map building and position awareness of a mobile robot in the large space by correcting a landmark map based on the pattern extracted by using the position information between landmarks. CONSTITUTION: A map configuring device of a mobile robot is composed of a landmark map building unit(210), a pattern extracting unit(230), and a landmark map calibration unit(240). The landmark map building unit constitutes a landmark map including much landmark location information and local images. The pattern extracting unit extracts the pattern formed by the landmarks by using the landmark location information and local images. The landmark map calibration unit revises the landmark map by using the extracted pattern.
