APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GENERATING MAC PDU IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A device and a method for generating a MAC PDU in a mobile communication system are provided to perform a MAC PDU segmentation process by generating a MAC header including the corresponding terminal information. CONSTITUTION: An RLC(Radio Link Control)(120) transmits a MAC SDU to a multiplexer(140). The RLC supplies the information about the MAC SDU to a header generator(130). A MAC controller(100) transmits the MAC SDU for the MAC protocol control to the multiplexer. The MAC controller supplies the logic channel identifier information and the length information about the MAC SDU to the header generator. A terminal ID generator(110) generate the information about the corresponding terminal. The header generator generates the MAC header using the corresponding terminal information and LCID(Logical Channel IDentification) information about the MAC SDU.
