The fitting has a cover plate (5) installed over a handle flange (2) that is mounted on a lateral surface of a device e.g. door or trap door, using a screw (4). An elastic sealing element (7) is arranged between the flange and the lateral surface. The element is arranged to be compressed at certain measurements with the screw such that the element is under tension when the fitting is installed. The element is made of vulcanizable material e.g. natural rubber, such that the element is adhered to the flange and the surface. |
