#CMT# #/CMT# Polymer material (A) comprises macromolecular chains (I) (containing an average of 1-10 imidazolidone groups per chain) bound by hydrogen bonds, where (I) consist of a polymer skeleton whereon a modifying agent (comprising associative groups (imidazolidone heterocycle) bonded by hydrogen bonds and reactive groups capable of forming covalent bonds with the polymer skeleton, assembled in a common molecule) is fixed by covalent bond. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# (A) is used: to manufacture objects such as tubes, films, plates, extruded strings, bottles and containers; as impact modifier or rheology regulator; and as compatibility agent (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# (A): is highly resistant to rupture, impact and solvents; has a satisfying level of viscosity; and has better chemical stability. #CMT#POLYMERS : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The modifying agent is imidazolidine derivative of formula (Ia), 1-(2-amino-ethyl)-imidazolidin-2-one, 2-mercapto-N-[2-(2-oxo-imidazolidin-1-yl)-ethyl]-acetamide, 4-amino-N-[2-(2-oxo-imidazolidin-1-yl)-ethyl]-benzamide or 5-[2-(2-oxo-imidazolidin-1-yl)-ethylcarbamoyl]-pentanoic acid. The fixing of the modifying agent leads to the appearance of amide -NHC(O)- or -C(O)NH-. The polymer skeletons (having an average mass of 1000-100000) have two different polymer skeletons types A and B carrying a modifying agent at each one of their ends forming a multiblock linear association A/B. The polymer skeleton A carries two modifying agents and B carries one modifying agent at one of its ends or a modifying agent at each one of its ends. The polymer skeleton is polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyamide or polyethylene. R : halo, primary or secondary amine, alcohol, thiol, aldehyde, ketone, carboxylic acid or derivative (of acid chloride or acid bromide, acid anhydride or ester), sulfonic acid or derivative, isocyanate or epoxy; and X : hydrocarbon (preferably 1-30C alkyl, alkyl or aryl cycle bound by bonds -C(O)O-, OC(O), -C(O)NH-, -NHC(O)-, C(O), -O-, -S- or -NH). #CMT#[Image]#/CMT#. |
