PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for protecting an internal circuit of a mobile terminal are provided to prevent an over voltage or an over current from being applied to an internal circuit and control a signal transmitted to the internal circuit. CONSTITUTION: An internal circuit(200) generates a transmission data signal. The internal circuit transmits the transmission data signal to a protection circuit(100). A data transmission port(300) transmits the transmission data signal to an external terminal. A data transmission circuit(110) transmits the transmission data signal to the data transmission port. The data transmission circuit changes the sizes of voltage or current of the data signal.
