<p>The seal, employing abutting teeth on the sliding clasp fastener principal, with a sealing strip between, employs metal backing/forming strips for the teeth, which are passed through an injection moulding machine. Instead of using a costly steel forming strip made by spark erosion, a composite strip made of an inner hard chromed copper strip is used, struck onto an outer phosphor bronze strip by an adhesive or soldered layer.</p> |
