An arrangement for filtering off particle-shaped impurities from a particle-containing and/or contaminating liquid for forming thereof a cleansed and a particle-relieved liquid as a permeate while utilizing a filtering unit. The filtering unit comprises at least one inlet for the particle-containing liquid and at least one outlet for the cleansed and particle- relieved liquid and at least one filtering means, wherein said filtering means exhibits a form concurring with a "closed" container, whose enclosing inner surface encloses a space intended for the filtering process itself. Said space being adapted to support a filtering means formed as a filtering bed of granular filtering material! (free filtering particles) utilizable for the filtering effect itself, said material or particles having a compactness (density) exceeding the compactness (density) of the liquid, and wherein said outlet is connected to a pipe adapted to pass through said filtering bed of the filtering material. A closed container, as a hollow-shaped cylinder (6), is adapted to be rotatable around its only inlet first pipe (18), extending between its wall sections, during a filtering process of said granular filtering bed (9) and its particles and that at a stand still position an only outlet second pipe (10), extending between its wall sections, is peripherally oriented within said closed container and adjacent the bottom of the cylinder and covered by said filtering bed and its filtering particles. In that stand still position the arrangement is adapted to offering a cleansing function corresponding to a "Dead end" cleansing process and/or a "Cross flow" cleansing process. |
