<p>A stirrer having a metal shaft with a one-piece propeller consists of a hub and two or more propeller blades, and fabricated in a plastic resistant to chemically aggressive liquids. The propeller is attached to a stub end on the shaft by an intermediate ring, an end screw and a plastic threaded disc, the remainder of the shaft above the stub end being enclosed in a plastic tube, the top end of which makes a gas-tight connection to the lower end of a bellows by means of a joint ring and lock nut. The top end of the bellows is clamped in gas-tight fashion to a collar of the shaft by means of a bush. A preferred plastic is PTFE fluoroethylene.</p> |
