<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoelectric conversion element whose photoelectric conversion efficiency is high. <P>SOLUTION: This organic photoelectric conversion element includes a pair of electrodes and a functional layer between those electrodes, wherein the functional layer includes a polymer including repeated units expressed with a formula (1a) and/or repeated units expressed with a formula (1b) and repeated units expressed with a formula (2). In the formulas (1a) and (1b), R shows an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or an aryl group which may have a displacement group.
